A sandwich fork?
Carl Auböck was most probably inspired by the story of the Earl of Sandwich. Apparently this Earl was addicted to gambling. And in order to be able to pursue his addiction without interruption, he ordered slices of meat between two slices of bread, which could only be eaten with one hand and he could continue playing while he satisfied his hunger with the other. Auböck certainly designed the most stylish fork for this break in style. The sandwich was invented by this gambling-addicted Earl and is named after him.
