MY INSPIRATION

It might be the sound of the typebars of an Olivetti Valentine typewriter... 

​

A flow of inspiration is interrupted by drifting off, into thought - the silence of pauses, like the sound of typos, show us human fallibility so lovingly.

 

Ettore Sottsass' canny design triumphs in the signal colour of this Valentine and elates me with every keystroke.

 

Its red reminds me of the Swiss garden furniture from the sixties, which still shine in competition with the alpine meadows on the terraces of Swiss mountain restaurants.

 

Through my careful selection of pieces, I hope to stimulate your senses too

and look forward to your next visit either virtually here or in person at our showroom in Basel.
